Corporate Biographies


Kevin Perko, President

Kevin Perko is the President of Rapid Refile. Kevin has over fifteeen years of experience working in the document restoration industry as both a Project Manager and District Manager with Munters Moisture Control Services. During that time, Kevin managed all operations associated with running the Northwest district for Munters, including staffing, inventory, budgeting and financial reporting for water damage restoration services in five states. He has contributed to 9 natural disaster recovery efforts, including Hurricane Katrina.

Prior to joining Munters, Kevin was the business manager and general contractor at K.R. Perko Construction, a residential and commercial construction company that specialized in remodeling and insurance restoration projects. Kevin also has an extensive background in the banking and insurance industries, most recently as a Senior Vice President at West One Bank in Boise, Idaho.

Perko has received Project Management Certification with Munters Corporation and has undergone their Fundamentals of Restoration Services, Management and Professional Excellence Program.


Joe Perko, Director of Field Services

Joe Perko is Director of Field Services of Rapid Refile. For over ten years, Joe has been working in the document restoration industry managing large loss recovery projects. He has managed or participated in the recovery and restoration efforts for seven major natural disasters and assisted with 9/11-related recovery work. From 2004 to 2007, he was the Northeast Document Specialist for a global document recovery and restoration firm.

Major recovery efforts Joe has managed include a water-main break at the U.S. Courthouse in Los Angeles, coastal flooding damage to the Baltimore City Police Department Evidence Control Unit, tornado damage to the Norris School District in Firth, Nebraska and damages created by Hurricane Katrina to the Notarial Archives of Orleans Parish.

In addition to managing major loss recovery efforts, Joe engineered, performed and coordinated recovery efforts for major universities and government agencies around the United States. Those recovery projects include:

Rob Schmidt, Director of Business Development

Rob Schmidt is the Director of Business Development of Rapid Refile.  Rob has been working in the restoration industry for many years. His career began in the insurance industry, where he was an adjuster for Selective Insurance in the Mid-Atlantic region.  He later moved into the insurance brokerage side of the industry where he spent over 6 years as a risk manager/broker. He maintains his insurance licenses and is a certified continuing education instructor for Property and Casualty insurance. Having started a career in the insurance industry, he couldn't have planned a better introduction into the restoration industry. Everything about his prior work experience prepared him for his role at Rapid Refile.

As Director of Business Development of Rapid Refile, Rob utilizes his insurance experience in every aspect of his day to day. Educating our customers and relationships about the proper insurance coverage and necessary disaster planning remain the foundation of his focus. He has been an integral factor in the success of Rapid Refile's “Rapid Response Program,” which is the company's disaster preparedness tool. He continues toward his goal to grow strategic alliances including preferred vendor programs and so on.  Rob participates in PLRB and PRISM events as well as maintaining an active membership in many different ARMA chapters.

James Gilbert, Vice President

James Gilbert is the Vice President of Rapid Refile.  James has been working in the restoration industry for over 15 years.  During his career he has specialized in the recovery of books, paper and other types of media as well as other specialized restoration projects.  He has had involvement of nearly every natural disaster in the US over this time.  His background includes over 15 years with a global provider of restoration services.  For nearly 5 of these years he was the National Manager for Document Restoration Services.

As Vice President of Rapid Refile, James uses his vast knowledge of the document recovery process to help our customers get the best quality service available in the industry.  He focuses on ensuring that the work performed is the best case scenario for each project Rapid Refile handles for their clients.  From helping clients decide the best drying process for their collection to how best to ensure that the items are clean and safe for their return.

James Keenan, Account Manager

James Keenan is the Account Manager of Rapid Refile. James has worked in the restoration business for several years. His career started in home building which ultimately led him into the disaster recovery industry. He managed major projects both commercially and residentially where document recovery services were commonly needed. 

As the Account Manager for Rapid Refile, James' restoration experience has been paramount in the company's goal to support all restoration companies in their efforts to offer a full range of recovery services. Successful customer service on current projects and valuable business development for future opportunities has been his key focus.

James is certified in The Clean Trust (IICRC) for “Fire & Smoke Restoration,” “Water Damage Restoration” and “Applied Structural Drying.”  He is also certified in EPA-RRP (lead based paint) and carries the OSHA 10 safety training for “Construction Safety and Health.”  He participates in the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce and belongs to “The Goodfellows” men's social club where he stands as a board member for event coordinating.

Greg Adams, Operations Manager

Greg Adams is the Operations Manager of Rapid Refile. Greg has over 7 years of experience in operations and business services outsourcing.   As Imaging Manager at Berkheimer OneSource, Greg managed a regular staff of 20 employees, scanning documents, performing image quality assurance and data entry. During large document conversion projects for numerous Fortune 500 companies, Greg oversaw 40 or more additional employees to allow for processing of millions of documents within very short time periods.

Adams' focus on efficiency and process improvement facilitates increased productivity and faster turn around times, allowing quality work to be returned to the client quickly.
